NOTICE OF GENERAL ELECTION 
City of West Branch

To the Qualified Electors of the City of West Branch, County of Ogemaw:

Notice is hereby given that a General Election will be held in the City of West Branch, County of Ogemaw on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. for the purpose of electing candidates of all political parties for the following offices:

AND FOR THE PURPOSE OF VOTING ON THE FOLLOWING PROPOSAL:
A proposed constitutional amendment to allow money from oil and gas mining on state-owned lands to continue to be collected in state funds for land protection and creation and maintenance of parks, nature areas, and public recreation facilities; and to describe how money in those state funds can be sent. 
A proposed constitutional amendment to require a search warrant in order to access a person’s electronic date or electronic communications.
A millage renewal proposal for the Emergency Service Authority authorizing the renewal of .9863 mills ($.9863 per $1,000 of taxable value) for 5 years beginning in 2021 and ending in 2025
 A millage proposal for the Ogemaw County Sheriff’s Road Patrol authorizing the County of Ogemaw to levy an assessment at a rate of 1.0 mills ($1.00 per $1000 of taxable value) for 4 years beginning in 2020 and ending in 2023.                   
The polling place location for said election is City Hall, 121 N. Fourth St., West Branch, MI 48661           
For assistance in determining the accessibility of the polling place locations and the availability of voting instructions in alternative formats such as audio and Braille, please contact the City of West Branch Clerk’s office.
Persons wishing to obtain an absentee ballot may do so by contacting the City of West Branch Clerk’s office.  The Clerk, or their designee, will be available in the Clerk’s Office on the Saturday and Sunday preceding the election, November 3, 2020, from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., the deadline for requesting an absentee ballot which will be mailed.
