The City is currently in the process of changing all of the meters in the City from older manual or drive by reading meters to meters that are more accurate, and have cellular reading capabilities. These newer meters also have some amazing capabilities and give the customer the ability to monitor their usage and set up leak detection notices to help avoid any high bills due to unknown water leaks. If you have one of the new meters follow the instructions below to set up your account in the water meter program called "eye on water" . Once your account is set up, you can then set up your leak notification by following the instructions below. If you do not have one of the new meters or are unsure, feel free to call city hall at 989-345-0500 to check or to schedule it to be replaced.

HEREOne of the most frequent questions we get is I haven't changed my water habits or used any additional water, why does my bill go up in some months. The main reason, if your usage hasn't changed, is because the City only bills in 1,000 gallons so there is typically unbilled usage each month. To see an example of how your bill could change over the course of a year even if you use the exact same amount each month, please click
